Deception is an art form that involves all of the senses, as any adherent to the [[Creed of the Lie]] knows all too well. Students of the creed of the lie apply otherworldly powers to their deceptions to make them all but undetectable through normal means. Lies crafted by a skilled [[Rogue]] have a depth and color that make ordinary lies seem like childish fibs.

Once fully trained, a [[Rogue]] of the [[Creed of the Lie]], wishing to sell a sword for more than it is worth, for example, would tell a story to a prospective buyer, a story that overinflates the sword's worth. The accomplished [[Rogue]] would not stop there, but would put on an act, perhaps posing as a trader of antiquities, speaking smatterings of a foreign tongue, and dressing the part.

The [[Rogue]] might have an accomplice barge into the negotiation, demanding that he sell the sword to him. The [[Rogue]] might offer some foreign treat not found locally to seal his authenticity as a foreigner. The deeper the lie, the richer the mark, the more skilled the [[Rogue]], the greater the profits.
Like other schools, many [[Rogue]]s begin their careers in the [[Creed of the Lie]] through a fagan. The older children are usually called upon for more elaborate schemes, but a well-crafted lie can be delivered perfectly by anyone who possesses the Power, regardless of how young. If not a fagan, then a Boss running a job will be the more likely perpetrator of a series of lies designed to relocate wealth from a mark to the Boss and his team.

Students will take part in these grand deceptions, perhaps posing as a government expedition or a travelling show, with each student taking a part of the deception. Those who are learning a new power often succeed if the grand deception is a success. [[Rogue]]s entering into a job must be careful to fully understand the backup plan if the job goes awry, especially if it could result in the loss of life.
