If measured by the raw capacity for destruction, the Conclave of Devotion is arguably the most formidable school in all of Otan. This is the "fire and brimstone" heart of the Divine archetype, where faith is forged into a weapon of legendary proportion. Practitioners of this Conclave do not merely seek truth or offer comfort; they unleash the holy wrath of their deity upon the world. These Divines rarely "dip" into other schools, as their cataclysmic powers, such as summoning righteous tempests, calling down hails of brimstone, or invoking blinding pillars of solar fire, are most effective when maintained with singular, purifying focus. In the hands of a Devoted master, a single liturgy can lay entire armies low or scour an infestation of beasts from the earth in a heartbeat.

Teaching Methods

Unlike the silent Sanctuaries of the Augury or the ritual clinics of the Sacrament, the Conclave of Devotion uses the battlefield as its primary classroom. A student must serve as an active acolyte to a senior Divine in the literal heat of conflict. Whether the foe is a rival kingdom’s vanguard or a swarming hive of monsters, the student is forced to recite their liturgies amidst the screams, smoke, and chaotic roar of combat. This trial by fire ensures that the Divine learns to project the Old Otani commands with absolute clarity and unshakable "Will," even when death is inches away. To master Devotion is to learn that the voice of God is loudest in the thunder of war.
